Welcome to Women's Heart and Soul Circle Social Service Organization
If you’re married to someone who has been called by the Lord to shepherd one of His flocks, then you know there’s nothing glamorous about the ministry and nothing glamorous about being a pastor’s wife. On the contrary, being married to a minister/pastor/shepherd can be hard work, demanding, stressful, isolating, and lonely. It’s not unusual for the wife of a minister to feel judged about everything from how she dresses to how she raises her children. She may have difficulty making friends, and setting healthy boundaries. Many wives share how they have been wounded, betrayed by other women, and felt invisible at times. It’s easy for a minister’s wife to put herself last, lose touch with her core values and neglect the care of herself.
There are many benefits from belonging to a ministry wives circle. Time spent in a healthy, uplifting environment can be affirming and strengthening. The nonjudgmental and loving atmosphere can help participants open and share freely on levels they cannot in other settings. Ministry Wives Circle provide a community that will practice deep listening healing activities and confidentiality.
What you can expect in Ministry Wives Circles:
Participants can expect a loving, respectful, accepting, safe environment. Participants can expect to be able to tell their stories and not be judged, identify their strengths, feel empowered to fulfill their role as a ministry spouse, build confidence, enjoy an affirming environment where personal growth, healing, and transformation happen.
What Ministry Wives Circle is not:
Ministry Wives Circle is therapeutic but it’s not a therapy session.
Ministry Wives Circle is strengthening and can be the place you find or rediscover your strengths and voice, but it’s not a husband, women or church bashing environment.
Ministry Wives Circle is healing for body, mind, and spirit but it’s not a replacement for professional healthcare.
Women are encouraged to care for themselves and see their personal and spiritual needs as important, but it does not promote neglect or abandonment of responsibilities that often come with the position of pastor’s wife.
Ministry Wives Circle welcomes women from every denomination and wives of all ages are welcome.
